About The Position

At Datagen, we’re simulating the world for producing high-performance synthetic data to develop the next generation of computer vision AI applications. We work with some of the most innovative companies in the world in domains like automotive, AR/VR, home security, robotics, retail, and more.  We’re looking for talented people who want to take a key part in pushing forward this amazing new technology.


The DevRel Lead is responsible for connecting Datagen’s messaging, marketing, and external touchpoints with the developers we serve. With a deep understanding of our technology and our customers, the DevRel Lead drives our strategies around thought leadership, content creation, community engagement, and value delivery.



In this role, you will

  • Establish this function as the first DevRel in the organization.
  • Build a community of Datagen advocates and champions.
  • Ensure that all Datagen messaging and collateral reflects developer-centric approach.
  • Drive strategy around and directly create engaging content, including tutorials, blog posts, demos, videos, and give presentations in the most relevant channels and venues.
  • Connect with key influencers to build awareness and data trust.
  • Contribute to strategy around events, webinars, speaking opportunities, and other external-facing forums.
  • Collaborate with the Product team on strategy for documentation creation and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships (e.g. academia) to build awareness and thought leadership.

For this role, you must have

  • Expertise in Computer Vision, preferably with a relevant technical degree and experience as a developer.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts and complex products into marketing-oriented content and materials.
  • A natural ability to build interpersonal connections and relationships.
  • Deep understanding of the platforms that our developer audience already uses, like Github and Stack Overflow.
  • Willingness to travel; this role includes participation in events and other community-building opportunities.

Salary

Exact compensation within this range will be based on skills, experience, seniority, and other factors.

Base salary range - $120,000/yr-$180,000/yr.
